We've just been making a few updates to the Edinburgh University Visitor Centre audio visual installation. We've completed some visual updates to the web access information points and also updated the the content by allowing the public more access to more online content. We have also installed print facilities that means the public can print directly from the terminals making it easier for them to take information away. We have a few more updates to do over the coming months and have also been contacted to pop in every quarter to give the equipment a once over and check everything is running as it should be.

We were ecstatic to get this project, as Craig our Managing Director is from the Highlands! The lovely people at AY-PE have brought us on board to help them create an interactive in the style of an old fashioned comic strip, such as 'The Eagle', or 'Commando' that will show the important role that the Lovat scouts played in modern warfare. The visitors will navigate through the comic book completing challenges and taking part in adventure as the comic book scenes become interactive!

We're proud to announce that we have teamed up with Sheena AV and BMMedia and won the tender to produce Malahide Castles multimedia and Audio Visual Content. We'll be creating a multimedias

The Castle is one of the oldest surviving in Ireland with a heritage spanning 800 years. The gardens are a creation of Lord Milo Talbot and his sister Rose who were both enthusiastic plant collector who brought specimens from around the world to create the gardens here.

Bright3D are revitalizing the visitor offer in the castle and gardens with new exhibitions and retail areas. We will be creating a new multi-screen media wall, digital signage, films, multimedia's, audio installations for the exhibitions to help interpret the stories and messages of Malahide. We will also be integrating social media into a number of the displays to allow people to bring home some of there on site experiences.

We have just finished recording the new script for the new Quiz at Whitelee Wind Farm Visitor Centre at Radio Forth's Studios. The lovely Derek Murray (left) did a fantastic job as the voice of our quiz master and Andrew Jackson (right) worked his magic editing it together. Now we just need to work in some sound effects and it will be done.

We have been commissioned to update the quiz at Glasgow Science Centres & Scottish Powers Whitelee Wind Farm Visitor Centre. We'll be getting a new voice over done for quiz master 'Lee White' and hopefully integrating a camera that allows you to have your picture taken so you can be transported inside the game!

Our movies are now installed at Edinburgh's OMNI Centre. There are four movies rear projected onto the glass running along the front of the building. We took the new corporate identity for the building and created a series of eye catching movie that advertises the different pubs, clubs, restaurants, gym and cinema within.

These movies will also be seen by a colossal number of people, as the large glass frontage of the building faces one of Europe’s busiest roundabouts with an estimated 60 million cars passing each year without even including the number of people that walk past it!

Originally the brief was to create a free roaming walk through of the building where the user discovered the carvings. It was felt that this may have worked well with a younger audiences but due to analysis of the visitor profile showing that there was a typically older audience we decide that a more guided approach was preferable.

The multimedia uses state of the art 3D scans of the building that were done by Glasgow School of Arts Research Centre Digital Design Studio. We cleverly integrating these into an interface that allows you to select a carving and then fly through the chapel to where its located. Once there you can look around the carving and find out more about it.

Unfortunately due to the size of the multimedia it is not something that we can put online at present as it would not work well online. We will hopefully be creating a version which we can put online in the next coming months (if we can find a spare day or two!!) but in the meantime please make do with the movie!

Pixel Stag made the journey to Esdale Island to compete for the 3rd year in a row at the rather wet World Stone Skimming Championships. As normal it was a great laugh but unfortunately our 2010 5th in the world, Fiona only managed 14th this year and Craig managed 31st. The results were not so good but Fiona PR team were on over drive and ended up with her on the front page of the Oban Times!
